I HATED capping order of undead. Those undead mobs are unbelievably cheap.
Any rotating spawn elites can also be classed as really annoying- I think I had to do 25 runs for one of the abaddon's mouth elites.

I agree on RoF elites being the most annoying in the game to cap, but either way all elites are easy to cap, only difference is that some are more time consuming than others.

Capping Healer's Boon the 1st time was a bear, the rest of the caps were really not difficult, some of them can be frustrating like the random spawns in tyria. Really the most difficult really has to be Maw the Mountainheart cap of Feast of Corruption. It takes a while, you can get yourself wiped along the way several times and then face him with some nasty dp. In the old days, you could do all that, do it right and if he died underground you couldnt cap him either.
Order of Undeath(d) was pretty nasty too, I can remember several party wipes and curse words involved while trying to get that.

At least Feast of Corruption does have a guarunteed spawn point (even if it is a bit of a trek), unlike alot of the RoF elites.
I've have to go with the crowd on this one, and say anything that only spawns randomly at RoF is a complete pain to cap.

Capping elites has never been difficult. It's just necessary to get the WOWZEROMGSKILLZ title.

Almost all skills are easy to cap in NM, but most of the random spawns in Tyria just piss me off. I got down to 20 to go in Tyria about a year ago. I have 17 to go at the moment >.<

That one was a pain to cap on my warrior. The guy is surrounded by 2-3 other ele enemies with that. Stupid H/H's kept being overpowered. Even spreading them out still proved difficult.

I would have to say the hardest caps I had were the ones where the boss's mob was surrounded by lots of patrols, some of which weren't obviously there at first. Shining examples:
[skill]Stunning Strike[/skill] Only by sheer force of will did I kill this boss finally, after wiping several dozen times to patrols around the boss.
[skill]Boon Signet[/skill] The Gardeners in other groups support Mungri and vice versa, landing you with double aggro almost all the time.
[skill]Psychic Distraction[/skill] Shiro'ken in large mobs that are so close together they aggro together? Yup.
I didn't find any of the Prophecies elites that hard or that annoying to get. Maybe by multi-tasking (heck my Ranger got all 3 elites from Ring of Fire while doing mission and bonus) it was easier. I think Punishing Shot took the most attempts to get to, considering that Thul Boulderrain is one of the pickier spawns.
As for Xinrae's Weapon being hardest, no. It was my last cap for LSH, and getting to the Consort of Ruin and killing him was a breeze. Proof:

You can also use 3k Balthazar faction and unlock the elite, then use an Elite Tome.

Torment caps are long if anything. Factions and Nightfall were both easy to cap in my opinion. Haven't done Tyria yet, though.
At any rate, Xinrae's was not the most difficult cap from those two continents.

Boon Signet... hated, HATED capping that one. Double aggro, trying to kill 3 monks that supported eachother...
Xinrae's was an alright cap. I'll have to agree with everyone else and say random bosses spawning in Tyria were the most frustrating to cap. It took me 30 or so runs of Perdition Rock before I got Quick Shot.

God, how could I forget about that guy. Easy enough to get to, but so hard to fight those guys with 3 monks aggroed.

I don't think any of them are "hard" just some of them are pretty time consuming.

FoC is the hardest imo, although everyone who says RoF is the hardest forgets that aside from Incendiary Arrows, Backbreaker, Mist Form and Spike Trap the other 6 elites are guaranteed spawns in the Abaddon's Mouth mission (although the spawn point is randomized).
FoC on the other hand is the hardest for me because 1) You had to trek all the way there; 2) You had to watch the aggro in the mobs in Dreadnought's; and 3) You had to make sure Maw dies above ground, otherwise you cant cap him.

RoF could refer to the mission itself or the entire chain of islands, including Perdition Rock and the three missions. The spawns on Perdition are not guaranteed, so you have to do a lot of runs. Plus, there are some in Hell's Precipice that aren't guaranteed spawns. Aura of the Lich and Greater Conflagration come to mind.

Maxine Coldstone in RoF for Quick Shot before Factions. The fact she randomly spawns AND has a gigantic circular patrol route would make me add her to the ignore list along with her companion Harn Coldstone.

Um, both of those caps are guaranteed to show up in the mission. All 5 of the bosses spawn, but one of them is beyond that large large group of Titans that you like to avoid because of all the Sparks.
